It is the acoustic system target. This model allows real-time scoring feedback, enhancing training efficiency.
A microphone captures the acoustic wave from the projectile, and based on the altitude and the caliber of the projectile, the microphone measures the distance to the aerial target.
A transmitter sends the information to the ground device receiver that registers it in its database.
With that, the pilot can receive real-time information about the training performance.
The system also has a GPS installed to provide additional training information such as speed and global positioning of the air-target.
A Radar reflector is also part of the system.
